A 48-year-old lady who was recently presented to our Chelvey Menopause specialist was director of logistics for major multinational company. Responsible for hundreds of employees, her job was always busy and sometimes stressful, but it is a role in which she has always excelled. Her menopause changed this. Suffering drenching night sweats, which left her unable to sleep, she found it difficult to concentrate at work. Unable to keep up with her work commitments, she became increasingly anxious and her hot flushes and brain fog made work more challenging than ever.

We supported her to gain better understanding and control of her symptoms. We prescribed her hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and followed her up to optimise and individualise her HRT dose and preparation. She was also referred for menopause-specific career coaching. Through this holistic approach, She is now back to her “pre-menopausal best”, she has regained her confidence and has returned to work.
